Adair Sold to Couple with Ties to the North Country
        

Franconia , NH - Peabody & Smith Realty of Franconia, NH is pleased to announce that The Adair Country Inn of Bethlehem was recently sold to Betsy and Nick Young of Charleston, South Carolina.

The Adair has been run as an elegant 4 diamond country inn by Judy & Bill Whitman for over seven years and they have now transferred ownership to the Young family. The Young family will continue to run it as a country inn and the popular "Tim-Bir Alley" restaurant will remain open for guests and the public.

 The Young Family is familiar with the area as Nick Young attended Franconia College in the early 1970's and has had an affinity with the White Mountains ever since. "The Whitman's have done a spectacular job with this comfortable and elegant country inn which serves the area well. We feel fortunate to be the new owners." Betsy stated.

 The Adair is one of the area's most spectacular historic properties. The three level colonial home was built in 1927 and remained as a private residence owned by the same family for over 60 years. The private and pastoral 200 acre estate, featuring landscaping by the famous Olmstead Brothers, offers magnificent views and much of the home's exterior appearance and interior layout has remained the same since it was built.
