Bessie's Diner and Cow-Lick Ice Cream Shop Transfers Ownership
Canaan, VT
CenterPoint Business Advisors is pleased to announce the sale of Bessie’s Diner and Cow-Lick Ice Cream Shop in Canaan, VT. Bonnie and Vernon Crawford have owned the family style restaurant for over 12 years. With the management assistance of their daughter, Tammy Crawford, they have transformed the restaurant into a successful and much loved fixture of Canaan. The Crawfords are pleased to be retired. They have said that “we don’t know what we will do next, but it won’t involve cooking.” Tammy will expand her bookkeeping business while looking for other opportunities in the area.
Bessie’s Diner was bought by Ron Segala, of Montauk, NY. Ron has extensive experience in the management of hotels and restaurants for over 30 years as a department head and general manager for Hotel Corp of America, Sheraton Corp, Continental Hotels and a number of high-volume, independently owned restaurants. Ron will continue to provide the same quality and service that is a hallmark of Bessie’s Diner. He is looking forward to becoming the newest resident of Canaan.
CenterPoint Business Advisors represented the Sellers, Bonnie and Vernon Crawford, and assisted the Buyer, Ron Segala, in this transfer. Financing was made possible by the Northern Community Investment Corporation (NCIC) and First Colebrook Bank.
