Lynburke Motel Transfers Owenrship
Lyndonville, VT
- CenterPoint Business Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of the Lynburke Motel in
Lyndonville
,
VT
on January 4th, 2006. The motel was purchased by Jim and Mary O'Reilly, residents of Lyndonville, and owners of the Wildflower Inn and Juniper's Restaurant. Arthur and Jeanne Elliott have owned and operated the motel at the intersection of Route 5 and RT 114 for over 30 years.

The Elliott's purchased the motel back in the late 60's from a friend and have lived in and operated the hotel ever since. The Elliott's are very pleased that the O'Reilly's have purchased the motel. They feel encouraged that it will be owned locally and by knowledgeable operators that will continue their legacy of quality customer service. The Elliott's will retire to enjoy their extensive family and begin work on their new home.
The O'Reilly's plan to leverage their marketing model developed for the Wildflower Inn to enhance operations at the Lynburke. In the spring of 2006 they plan to renovate the exterior to give the motel an "outfitters" look. The designs are being developed by their son Brian and fellow students who are studying architecture at the University in Oregon. In addition to serving existing guests the O'Reilly's will focus on outdoor enthusiasts that are coming to East Burke and the Northeast Kingdom in general to mountain bike, hike, ski, ice climb and snowmobile. Their son Dan O'Reilly will be managing the motel. Dan has returned from Beverly Hills, CA where he served in a customer service capacity in an exclusive Hotel in that city. The O'Reilly family is very excited about the project and has a website and online reservation system already up and running. (www.lynburkemotel.com).
