Valuland in Ossipee, NH
Transfers Ownership
Ossipee, NH
CenterPoint Business Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce the sale of Valuland Food Store of Ossipee, NH to M&N Holdings of Ossipee, NH. Valuland is a 10,000 sf grocery store located in the Indian Mound Shopping Center on Route 16B. It serves the residents of the greater Ossipee area, as well as the many tourists and seasonal residents that spend time in this beautiful area.
This highly successful grocery store has been owned and operated by BDH, Inc for the past 13 years. The two principles, Allen Hulse and Peter Dole, have owned several grocery stores throughout NH during the past 3 decades. Hulse and Dole have seen many changes during their tenure such as the introduction of the scanner, and a trend to large corporate stores from smaller, locally owned stores. The partners feel strongly that there is a place for the local grocer in today's market and feel confident that the new owners will do well. After their many years of hard work, Allan and Peter are now looking forward to spending time with their families.
M&N Holdings is a newly formed NH corporation. Its principles are Naresh Bhangoo and Mona Singh, both from New Jersey. Naresh will be moving to the Ossipee area with his family to operate Valuland. His background is in accounting software development, banking, and retail operations. His sister, Mona has owned and operated several hospitality businesses throughout the United States over the past 30 years. She will work with Naresh assisting with strategic planning and operations.
Mona and Naresh want to continue the Valuland tradition of customer service excellence. They plan to keep the existing family of friendly employees, including the manager Eric, who will continue to oversee the store’s operations along with Naresh.
Mona and Naresh intend to be good stewards of the excellent reputation that the Valuland family has built over the years. They look forward to being welcomed in the community and feel strongly that Valuland will continue to serve as an important economic and cultural feature of Center Ossipee. According to Bhangoo, "the local grocery store is where neighbors meet and friends chat; a place to find out what is going on in town and discover the latest local news while doing their weekly shopping."
Jeff Paquet and O.J. Robinson of CenterPoint Business Advisors, Inc. represented BDH, and assisted M&N Holdings in this transfer.
