CenterPoint's Exit Planning Framework

When Should You Start Thinking About Exit Strategies?

The short answer of course, is that you should start planning for your exit at the same time you are starting your business. This being said, most business owners are so busy with the day-to-day operations of running and growing their businesses this whole concept of exiting is almost always on the back burner.

Do you know what your business is worth today? Have you thought about an Exit Plan? How much of your net worth is tied up in your business assets? Do you have a contingency plan in place on the off-chance that you become unable to run your business due to unforeseen circumstances?

CenterPoint’s Exit Planning Framework has been developed to assist business owners address these questions head-on and start the planning processes required to exit their businesses on their terms, and in a timeframe that meets their overall objectives.

Based on the concept that it takes a team to adequately plan for a successful exit strategy, CenterPoint coordinates with you, your legal & tax advisors and your wealth planners to deliver a comprehensive approach in preparing to exit your business in style. Best Places to Live & Launch a Business
By Raymond C. Pucci, CBI

Looking to relocate and buy a business, or are there already promising opportunities in your own backyard?

Fortune Small Business Magazine announced its 2008 100 Best Places To Live & Launch A Business in the United States. Not surprisingly, several New England cities are among the Top 100 to achieve this rating.

Three of the Top 100 Places are in CenterPoint’s coverage area: Manchester, NH, Cambridge, MA, and
Colchester, VT.

The ratings were based on criteria including business friendliness and lifestyle offerings on both a quantitative and qualitative basis. The magazine looked at business factors such as: tax rates, job growth, and number of airline flight connections within a 60 mile radius. For lifestyle factors, they considered categories including: leisure resources, arts venues, and health infrastructure. Higher ratings were also given to those areas that demonstrated higher business startup rates, stronger population growth, and low crime rates.

CenterPoint is very familiar with Manchester, Cambridge, and Colchester, and is available to discuss business opportunities in these cities and surrounding areas.
